We all know that the slew of ACA NEOGEO games that have hit Xbox One over the last year have delivered a different take on gaming – one which allows those retro fans out there the chance to enjoy the very best of what the 1990s gaming scene held. In and amongst those multiple titles have been a number of King of Fighters games, with those from 1994, 1995 and 1996 already having appeared. Makes sense that we now see The King of Fighters ’97 added to that list!

Available right now for £6.39, The King of Fighers ’97 is the latest NEOGEO title to arrive on Xbox One. First released back in, yep, you guessed it, 1997, The King of Fighters combines the most popular characters found in Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting. It will therefore be up to you to determine the winner!

As is always the case, you should be finding new game settings that allow you to amend the difficulty levels, whilst the introduction of a high score table allows you to test yourself against the very best the world over.

If you’re after a new fighter, and like a bit of retro gaming, then this will be one to seriously consider. The Microsoft Store is ready and waiting for your cash. Make sure you pay it a visit if you need the latest NEOGEO game in your library.

Game Description:

THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’97 is a fighting game released by SNK in 1997. Featuring popular characters from FATAL FURY and ART OF FIGHTING, these fighters will battle to determine who is the strongest. The ADVANCED and EXTRA modes of gameplay offer an even deeper level of tactics. The “ACA NEOGEO” series has faithfully reproduced many classic NEOGEO masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
