Just a few months ago, Samurai Shodown arrived on the Xbox One to bolster the then sparse ACA NEOGEO series of games. Now it’s time for the sequel to get a look in and bring the nostalgia flooding back.

Samurai Shodown II is a weapon-wielding fighting game which was first released by SNK in 1994 and it brings with it most of the original cast, whilst adding a few new ones; with 15 combatants in total. You’ll find this sequel has more refined gameplay, featuring several movement options, super weapon breaking attacks, and the ability to parry should your reaction speed be quick enough. As always with the ACA NEOGEO games, you can expect a faithfully reproduced version of the game with multiple difficulty settings and leaderboards to compete against players around the world.

It’ll cost a cool £6.39 to add ACA NEOGEO Samurai Shodown II to your Xbox One library and you can find it over on the Xbox Games Store.

Are you interested in these trips down memory lane, or does the ACA NEOGEO series do nothing for you? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
