Twin-stick shooters aren’t exactly in short supply on Xbox One, but today there’s a new addition to the ever-growing library that aims to push your reflexes to the limit and allow you to manipulate time itself whilst performing impossible manoeuvres. Will the action-packed and intense experience of Debris Infinity be on your radar for a purchase?
In Debris Infinity there are three different single-player game modes available for you to test your skills in across exciting scenarios. Prepare to fight against the clock in Time Attack, plan your attacks with precision in Power Wave, or survive to earn the highest score possible in Normal mode. Better yet, bring in a local buddy and share the responsibilities by having one of you piloting and the other being the gunner. Alternatively, you can challenge a friend in Versus Mode, where you can use enemies as weapons or bait in order to confuse and defeat them.
Furthermore, the game has an advanced scoring system that rewards not only the player’s ability to destroy enemies (with combos and rewards garnered for possessing fast reflexes), but it’s also influenced by the piloting skills – avoiding damage and controlling the positioning on the playfield, for example.
The vibrant looking Debris Infinity is cheap as chips too, arriving on the Xbox Store with a meagre price tag of £4.19, which certainly makes it extra appealing to fans of the twin-stick genre. Don’t worry if you aren’t entirely sure if this is a game for you right now though, because our upcoming review will fill you in on all the details to help make up your mind.
