You may have seen it revealed on the IGN Awesome Indies Show over Gamescom weekend, but now Headup Games – they behind White Shadows – are providing more details to accompany the trailer. And yep, if you’re looking for a highly stylized 3D runner – Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield is it.

Coming to Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC, Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield will see you attempting to survive in a futuristic Tokyo-style Detroit. How? Well, by running for your life.

Taking on the role of Wally – a mysterious kid out to recover items from his past with the hope of saving what’s left of the future – it’ll be up to you to run, run and run some more, proving that you’re fast enough to outrun your enemies and expose the truth. Or at least, try to live long enough to see what happens.

Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield plays out as a 3D side-scroller mixed with a classic endless runner. The game has an interesting story that keeps players always in motion as you run, jump, slide and dash for acrobatic variants leading to dope combinations, letting you avoid the challenges that await.

Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield is being built for those who love to speedrun, whilst still being able to hold up as an experience that casual players will enjoy as well. And what’s more, it comes with the amazing soundtrack from “Danime-Sama”, a Detroit artist featuring the authentic sounds of Detroit artists and vocals from “artists of colour” from all over the world.

The developer Aerial_Knight adds: “The game is currently in development by basically just myself with a lot of help from some of my amazing friends when I need it. This is a passion project of mine and I hope you all enjoy it when it’s out.”

In case you missed that reveal trailer, it’s right down below. Let us know what you think.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
