We’ve previously seen the team at Microids deal with Asterix & Obelix, The Smurfs and Oddworld: Soulstorm. Very soon though they’ll be running a completely different tack as they prepare to release Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo to the world. There will be a Limited Edition version to enjoy too.
Due to launch on consoles come September 27th 2022, Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo will be fully playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. That’s the release date for European shores anyways, as those folk in the North American region will need to hold tight just a tad longer, until October 4th 2022.
Created by Pendulo Studios and picked up by Microids for publishing, Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo is a narrative experience that has already been playing the PC world for a little while. It’s now coming to console to tell the troubled story of Ed Miller, a writer who escaped unscathed from a car crash in the Brody Canyon, California. Even though no one was found inside the car wreckage, Ed insists that he was traveling with his wife and daughter. Traumatized by this event, he begins to suffer from severe vertigo. As he starts therapy, he will try to uncover what really happened on that tragic day.
It’s certainly an intriguing tale and with the Hitchcock name behind it, will no doubt be of huge appeal to many. When you consider the following features, it gets better still…
- An exclusive, original story about obsession, memory, manipulation, and madness, freely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece, Vertigo
- Live a powerful narrative experience paying tribute to the visual and storytelling techniques of Hitchcock
- Investigate through the vision of three characters: everyone has a different story to tell
- Explore several timelines to cross-check the events and separate reality from deceptive memories
Should you be sold at Hitchcock, or are in the market for a new thriller, then you may also be interested in the game’s Limited Edition. This will not just include the game itself, but an artbook and soundtrack for good measure:
