Astor Blade of the Monolith releases on PC and console

Previously going by the name Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients, Astor: Blade of the Monolith finally launches to the world, playable on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Available today on the usual formats (including Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S) is Astor: Blade of the Monolith. It’s from C2 Game Studio as they team up with Versus Evil to deliver an all-action RPG to the gaming world. And yep, we know, ANOTHER ONE!

A dynamic fight

Astor: Blade of the Monolith is a bit special though. Whisking us away to the world of Gliese we’ll be tasked with helping Astor, a young warrior, fight against hordes of foes, hunting down all evil as they go. If all works out well, great, world saved, live to fight again. But if not? Well, that impending doom…

For many it’ll be the dynamic combat of Astor: Blade of the Monolith that will most excite. This has been inspired by some serious classics, like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry and Zelda – if it comes off as the dev team are hoping, it’s that which could well be a bit special.

But there’s much more to Astor: Blade of the Monolith than that combat. Runic powers will be yours for wielding, whilst various weapons, skills and combos will constantly come to the fore. When you then consider a main story and side quest will take you upwards of twenty hours, and then a New Game + comes into play too, and well, this could be taking up your time for weeks and months ahead.
