Pirates Pinball is the latest pinball game to arrive on the Xbox scene, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S right now. It’s from the Super PowerUP Games team, they behind previous releases of Dragon Pinball, Basketball Pinball, Jurassic Pinball and Touchdown Pinball. Past history has proven this probably won’t be one to excite.
The treasures of Pirates Pinball
Pirates Pinball on Xbox promises a swathe of treasures, as players go about hitting up the highscores, taking places on leaderboards as they go. And as you may expect to hear from the piratey theme, this one will have you heading to tortuga island, taking on the kings armada and more.
Treasure hunting is the name of the game in Pirates Pinball, with Super PowerUP Games promising a perfect replication of a pinball table. That should be expected if we’re honest, but only time will tell if this is one worth shooting for.
Dropped into an arcade setting, there are upwards of 8 missions to complete in Pirates Pinball. The usual mechanics and features are in place too, like Multiball, Extraball, Skillshots and more. Throw in a host of bright lights, buzzing sounds and the like, and this feels like a decent attempt to combine the pinball world with that of the open seas.
