Eurogamer have had a little chat with Batman Arkham Origins producer Guillaume Voghel at the recent Eurogamer Expo. Voghel was happy to announce details of the first Arkham Origins DLC, Initiation.
In it, the gamer gets transported to Asia and will get to play as Bruce Wayne whilst he learns the way of the ninja. “It’s not League of Assassins, it’s ninja-related,” Voghel said. “It’s when he learned to be a ninja and learned those techniques. He goes to a monastery – custom content was created for the DLC. You’ll be in Asia in the monastery.
He also mentioned a new game mode for Origins. Unlocked after the full game story has been completed, ‘I Am The Night’ is a new game+ type of mode with NO saves and only ONE life for Batman. Sounds rather damn difficult to us, and seeing as the campaign has ‘around 12 hours of gameplay’, it looks like you’ll be needing to pull an all-nighter to finish it fully.
With the new Deathstroke gameplay and previously announced challenges, Batman Arkham Origins looks set to be one hell of a game on it’s release at the end of October.
