Borderlands 3 – Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock expansion now available

The wedding of the year is here as the latest expansion for Borderlands 3 launches on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. And this one is all about guns, love and tentacles as we witness the marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock!

Available right now to purchase and download on all the usual Borderlands 3 formats, Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock is the second expansion for Borderlands 3 – after Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot – and not only will it take you to the brand new planet of Xylourgos, but you’ll have the opportunity to reunite with some old friends, enjoy the madness of some new Legendary items, and go about taking down all otherworldy evil once more. 

Yep that’s right, Guns, Love, and Tentacles will see the engagement party run by former Vault Hunter Gaige and her best robot friend – Deathtrap. And if that’s not enough to drag you in, the world of Xylourgos looks ripe for reaping too, as it provides a cold ice world that is home to not just mutated rock slugs and wicked wolvens, but some hardcore occultists that just so happen to come equipped with some lovely eldritch powers. 

And don’t worry if you’re coming to Borderlands 3 as a fresh newbie, for the arrival of Guns, Love, and Tentacles will let you skip the opening parts of Borderlands 3 and instead be whisked straight into the world of Xylourgos without issue. With loot and enemies scaling to your own unique level, the worry of going in green to a massively hardcore event is fast swept aside. 

If you’re an existing Hunter then you’ll need to access Sanctuary III by completing Episode 5 of the main story. Once there, head to Hammerlock’s study and you’ll gain entry. 

Guns, Love, and Tentacles comes in with a price of £11.99, and should you already have the base game of Borderlands 3 to hand then that is the best course of action. That said, as you would expect to hear it’s also available as part of the Super Deluxe Edition or rolling out right now to all those who purchased the Season Pass. However you wish to go about grabbing this latest B3 expansion, the usual digital gaming stores will sort you out. Xbox One gamers should therefore hit up the Xbox Store in order to embrace the love found as Wainwright and Hammerlock get reacquainted.
