Great news for all those Xbox One gamers who wish to play the old classics as from today Borderlands has been added to the Xbox One Backwards Compatible scheme.

As long as you own the original game on Xbox 360, you’ll be able to now carry over your save files, game add-ons and achievements to Xbox One. Preview members should be seeing Borderlands appear any time now, whilst those not currently with access to the Backwards Compatible titles will be able to port their game in come November when the scheme goes live when more than 100 games will be available to play…with hundreds more on the way!

“We are proud to support Xbox One Backward Compatibility by bringing the complete, original Borderlands to Xbox One, including all downloadable content,” said 2K President Christoph Hartmann. “We know many of our fans have put in dozens, even hundreds, of hours exploring the world of Pandora on their Xbox 360, and now they can continue their adventures on Xbox One.”

It could well be time to jump back into Pandora!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
