Shinorubi lands on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch

Are you ready for some intense arcade action? Shinorubi on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch is a heart-pounding shoot ’em up with roots in the Bullet Hell, Danmaku, and Manic Shooter genres.

Coming from Red Art Games, who have previously released games like OmegaBot, Shinorubi launched onto PC via Steam back in 2022 and has landed on Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch today.

Fast-paced arcade action

With a swift and relentless pace, Shinorubi promises arcade action packed with various difficulty levels, arrange modes, and an array of customisable spaceships.

Publishers Red Art Games have made sure that Shinorubi will look great as on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game’s resolution will go up to 4K while its framerate will go up to 120 fps (on compatible screens).

Check out the action in the game trailer.

Rebellion on Shinorubi

The game is named after a planet that harbours a compound called ‘R-R’. This elusive substance grants its possessor infinite power and unparalleled longevity. For a millennium, the BAÄA family has ruthlessly ruled over Shinorubi and the coveted substance.

Shinorubi sees players lead the rebellion against the thousand-year reign of the BAÄA family. To do that you’ll have to manoeuvre your ship through a barrage of missiles and bullets, with only the centre of your ship vulnerable to enemy shots.

Your mission is clear: do not succumb to the relentless assault and dismantle the ruling BAÄA kingdom.

Game features

  • HD graphics taking you through 5 awe-inspiring environments, between futuristic forests, military bases and stormy skies.
  • 5 difficulty modes, from super easy to very hard, for a variety of challenges.
  • 8 playable ships, with varied power, speed and shot stats to adapt to your playstyle.
  • 12 ‘arranged’ modes: play against the clock in Caravan mode, take risks in Shield mode, test your stamina in Journey mode or catch pigs in Pink Pig mode.
  • A Boss Rush mode with three difficulty levels.
  • 53 successes to strive for. Never miss a medal and fly through all levels to get them all.

It’s also available digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Special physical editions of Shinorubi (Deluxe and Pink) for PlayStation and Switch can be purchased from Red Art Game’s online store.

Game description

SHINORUBI is a Shoot’Em Up game rooted in the Bullet Hell, Danmaku, and Manic Shooter genres. In the universe, there is a compound that can only be found on one singular planet, SHINORUBI. The compound gives their owner infinite power and exceptional longevity via biological mutations; its name is “”R-R””. For a thousand years, the BAÄA family has ruled mercilessly over SHINORUBI and the “”R-R””. King R.LOYD III has six sons and a daughter. He and his sons left for war 150 years ago against the TRADDESS and ZOOGT empires, lightyears away from SHINORUBI. The kingdom was entrusted to five generals close to the royal family, under the command of the king’s only daughter: NEMEZIYA BAÄA. Night falls on KADDIN, the capital… The endless night before the solstice of BAÄA’s thousand-year rule. Eight mercenaries will try the impossible under cover of night: overthrow the kingdom.
