Capcom release new videos to showcase Monster Hunter: World weapons

-

Monster Hunter: World wont be coming out until 2018 but that isn’t going to stop Capcom from building the hype early. Today we see a number of new videos released for the game, all of which detail the vast range of unique weapons which will be available.

Coming to Xbox One, and PS4 in early 2018, with a PC version to follow thereafter, Monster Hunter: World sees players gear up as they seek and slay ferocious monsters. An incredible living, breathing ecosystem will play host to your adventures and to join you in battle will be no less than 14 different weapon types. Depending on your playstyle, these can be changed mid-quest, so if your latest hunt demands a different tactic, you can duly oblige.

The three videos below show the vast range of unique weapons for players to choose from, whether they’re new to the hunt or already a seasoned veteran. Each weapon type has a different overall playstyle and characteristic – Swords and blades can be useful in cutting damage and executing fast paced attacks, impact weapons like hammers can cause high damage and stun opponents whilst ranged weapons such as bowguns allow you to attack beasts from afar. If you start to find the hunt is too overwhelming, support style weapons can be very useful such as the hunting horn which plays melodies that provide buffs for the team.

Which weapons will you wield for the hunt? Hit up the trailers below and let us know in the comments.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
