To be in business for 50 years is a big deal and Konami can be found celebrating their half century anniversary by dropping a number of rather exciting Anniversary Collections to gamers on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Steam. Hot on the heels of the recently released Konami Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection is a new bundle – that of the Castlevania Anniversary Collection.

Available right now on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam), the Castlevania Anniversary Collection is the second of three bundles that Konami are utilising to ensure fans across the globe are treated to some of the best retro gaming opportunities ever. With the Arcade Classics done and dusted, and the upcoming Contra pack sitting in the wings, today is all about Castlevania, with the latest Anniversary Collection delivering no less than 8 great games from the Konami back catalogue.

So, what do we have? Well, how do the following sound to you?

  • Castlevania
  • Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
  • Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Castlevania The Adventure
  • Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge
  • Castlevania Bloodlines
  • Kid Dracula

Further to that, and much in the same vein as the Arcade Classics extra, a Bonus eBook will be on hand to provide all the juiciest details on each of the games, along with an interview with Adi Shankar, a producer on the animated series. Throw all that together in one and it’s easy to see why this digital exclusive collection provides an entertaining and comprehensive history of Castlevania’s beginnings – particularly as Kid Dracula is now available in English.

A price of £15.99 will see you sorted with your Dracula-filled Castlevania fix. How you get that is completely up to you but we reckon the Xbox Store is the best port of call. Of course, you may decide differently and we promise not to judge should you prefer the PlayStation Store, the Nintendo eShop or wish to navigate the madness of Steam.

What’s more, Konami are talking of adding free Japanese updates to these games shortly after launch.

Game Description:

From the Belmont clan to their extended bloodlines and allies, the Castlevania Anniversary Collection is the best first step for anyone to take into the world of Castlevania and the fight against Dracula! An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
