Even someone with barely more than a passing interest in anime will know what One Piece is. And the Straw Hat Crew are here again in what could be their biggest videogame yet. One Piece Odyssey is out today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC.
After searching across the New World for their next adventure, the Straw Hat Crew are hit by a terrible storm and find themselves shipwrecked on a desert island. This sort of thing wouldn’t normally be an issue for them, but this island is surrounded by constant storms. It seems getting off will be significantly harder than getting on the island.
One Piece Odyssey describes itself as a classic RPG. Each crew member has a unique set of skills for exploration and combat, which is a distinctively turn-based affair. Albeit with a twist: the Scramble Area Battle. This allows players to move through different battle areas to pick the best one that aligns with their strategy.
