PES2020 FCBarcelona

For years Konami have happily dropped multiple data packs into their football titles, enhancing the visuals and making improvements on the fly as and when they see fit. And even though their latest release has gone a different route in terms of the title, it seems like they’ll continue on the Data Pack train for as long as possible. Today we see them drop Data Pack 2.0 to eFootball PES 2020 and with it come a whole range of enhancements.

So, featuring new player faces, kits, boot updates and other in-game cosmetics, the eFootball PES 2020 Data Pack 2.0 will be a blessing for some PES players, delivering new and updated visuals to all multiple components.

Available as a free download on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Data Pack 2.0 focuses much of its effort on some updated player faces, particularly those from Konami’s Partner Clubs including:

  • Joe Willcock – Arsenal FC
  • Reiss Nelson – Arsenal FC
  • Ansu Fati – FC Barcelona
  • Jean Clair Todibo – FC Barcelona
  • Carles Perez – FC Barcelona
  • MickaĂ«l Cuisance – FC Bayern
  • Daniel James – Manchester United
  • Tahith Chong – Manchester United
  • Merih Demiral – Juventus

But further to that though and Konami are on a roll, also adding detailed player faces for some of the 2019/2020 season hot properties with improvements hitting stars such as Finnish striker Teemu Pukki, Swiss defender Kevin Mbabu, Turkish midfielder Kerem Demirbay, German midfielder Maximilian Eggestein, and French defender Abdou Diallo.

In addition to all that and we also see updates to player boots, containing four additional Nike boots (Mercurial Superfly VII, Phantom Venom, Phantom Vision, Tiempo Legend VIII), two new PUMA boots (FUTURE 4.1 NETFIT, PUMA ONE 5.1) and two new Umbro boots (Medusae 3, Velocita 4) – all replicating the popular real-world designs.

Data Pack 2.0 isn’t done there though and it also adds in new team kits for the likes of FC Barcelona, AS Roma and Galatasaray S.K. 3rd kits, as well as those for the Republic of Ireland, Hungary, Luxembourg and Montenegro national teams. And to conclude matters, you can find a number of gameplay tweaks and fixes in place too.

With eFootball PES 2020 pushing FIFA 20 all the way in the battle for the football crown, it’s great to see Konami constantly pushing out updates and improvements in order to make your purchasing decision even trickier. If you haven’t played either game then hit those bold links and check out our reviews of each game. Hopefully we’ll be able to tip you one way or another. If you decide to go the PES route, you can grab the game right now from the Xbox Store.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
