Get ready for the return of Demon Brothers Dante and Vergil as DMC drops on Xbox One and PS4 in 2015.
Capcom have today announced that DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition will be available to purchase as a digital download and at retail across Europe and North America for Xbox One and PS4, from March 17, 2015 for RRP $39.99 / EUR 39.99 / GBP 29.99, whilst Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will be available for both consoles in the Summer of 2015.
DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition will feature the original action game, all previously released DLC, including the “Vergil’s Downfall” campaign as well as brand new modes and additional gameplay features. Ninja Theory hope it’ll be the ultimate offering for Devil May Cry fans and it certainly sounds like it may be.
New to the Definitive Edition, players will be able to play as Dante’s twin brother himself in Vergil’s Bloody Palace Mode and for an extra depth of challenge, players will be able to try out the added Gods Must Die and Must Style Mode as well as Hardcore Mode, which has been designed to play more like the classic Devil May Cry series. The Definitive Edition will also see players receive new Dante and Vergil costumes inspired by classic Devil May Cry character designs.
But that’s not all. Balancing and improvements based on fan feedback will be implemented as well as modifiers that can be turned on at various stages, including Turbo Mode which allows players to increase the speed of play for even faster, more intense combat. Additional leaderboards, trophies and achievements will be included, as well as numerous social features.
Info on the Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will be shared by Capcom in the coming months and we’ll be sure to bring it to you when they do.
For now, the trailer below will have to suffice!
