We’ve recently seen Electrician Simulator – First Shock arrive as a kind of prologue on Steam, but in the coming months the full version of Electrician Simulator will get set to blow up. And aside from launch on PC, it’ll also be coming to console, with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S launches in the bag.

Sold as a relaxing game that will allow you to make a career in the electrical industry, Electrician Simulator is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. If you want to see what’s what, it’s probably worth you heading over to Steam and taking in the prologue – First Shock.

In development by the indie Polish team at Take IT Studio!, which includes former employees of The Farm 51 (they behind the rather neat Chernobylite), when Electrician Simulator does launch, you’ll find it being published by Gaming Factory S.A. and Ultimate Games S.A.

So what do we have to look forward to? Well in Electrician Simulator the player has the opportunity to make a career in the electrical industry, stepping into the shoes of a young – naive – electrician taking over the family business. From there, you’ll go about carrying out different assignments, repairing electrical sockets and building out full and complete electrical systems.

Electrician Simulator 02

“The game will distinguish itself through its refinement and attention to detail. We place great emphasis on the lighting, making sure that it always looks realistic. The gameplay is directly based on the real work performed by electricians, but we are also introducing some simplifications, as great and relaxing fun is our top priority. We are sure that Electrician Simulator will appeal to both electricity specialists and players not very well acquainted with the topic” – said Dorian Loewe, COO at Take IT Studio!

Multiple game modes are being promised and these should see you needing to utilise a wide range of skills, all as you enjoy diverse assignments and an array of workshop expansion possibilities. As an electrician, you will have access to various helpful tools, such as a set of screwdrivers, a wire stripper, a voltage tester and a cable detector.

“This is the first game that takes such a realistic approach to the field of electricity and the essential, everyday work of electricians. The exact release date for PC has not yet been set, but the game will most likely make its debut in the next few months. Later, in 2022 or 2023, Electrician Simulator will also appear on consoles” announced Rafał Jelonek, COO at Ultimate Games S.A.

Electrician Simulator key features will include:

  • an electrifying career;
  • diverse assignments to carry out;
  • a wide range of available skills;
  • various useful tools;
  • possibility to expand your workshop.

Expect to see Electrician Simulator launch on PC via Steam later this year, followed up by console versions on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch after that.

Check out the trailer if you want to know how it plans to work.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
