When all you want to do is sit back and rack up those points, there is nothing better than a retro shooter. Blazing Star is one of those!

First released by SNK back in 1998, ACA NEOGEO Blazing Star has now made its way to the latest consoles and an Xbox One release. Priced at £6.39, it’ll be up to you to jump into your favourite ship and take down ‘Brawshella’ – the evil mind behind the release of deadly biological weapons.

As has been the case since the influx of NeoGeo titles on Xbox One, you’ll find that a variety of difficulty options are available, whilst high score leaderboards will let you pit yourself against the best around the world. With Blazing Star built on the premise of scoreboard achievements, then there is seemingly no better reason to head on in than to earn those all important bragging rights.

Get yourself over to the Microsoft Store right now. For a full list of the ACA NEOGEO titles available on Xbox One, hit this here link.

Game Description:

“BLAZING STAR” is a shooting game released by SNK in 1998. Your mission is to take on the sinister AI “Brawshella” that is the main culprit behind an army of deadly biological weapons. You have 6 different ships at your disposal for this task. The game features classic high score gameplay with higher points awarded when players land successful charge shots to chain multiple enemies. The “ACA NEOGEO” series has faithfully reproduced many classic NEOGEO masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
