Explore the connections of Starlight Shores on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch

We love a Visual Novel, and god knows there’s been enough of them pop up on our consoles in recent times. We’re always up for another though – and that is where Starlight Shores comes in.

Previously having launched on PC, Starlight Shores from Delphinium Interactive and Penguin Pop Games comes to console to deliver a romantic Visual Novel in which the main focus sits on the cast of Theo, Lena, Alec and Erika. From there it’s up to you to involve yourself in the lives of these characters, helping push them through the decisions that they need.

Priced at a mere £4.99 on the Xbox Store, the game is fully playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with Smart Delivery and full next-gen optimisation meaning that no matter what console you are playing on, you’ll have the very best version available to you. Also on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch – as well as that previous drop on PC – Starlight Shores looks the business, delightfully created and full of vibrant visuals that will help push the story along.

How that story plays out is anyone’s guess, but as with many Visual Novels of this type, expect tales of a romantic nature to pop up, left, right and centre. How you handle those will be totally up to you though.

We’ll be sure to get hands-on with Starlight Shores on Xbox Series X|S in the coming days and will deliver our full review thoughts on the back of a playthrough or two. Keep an eye out for it.

In the meantime, if you are looking to pick up the game for yourself, you’ll find it readily available for download from the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Game Description:

Starlight Shores is an island-themed visual novel that adopts a unique “”short story”” romance style.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
