Filled your ghost-like boots with all that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands has to offer? Ubisoft have got you sorted with the next expansion.

The Fallen Ghosts expansion for Ghost Recon Wildlands will arrive for all Season Pass owners on May 30th 2017. Whether you’re an Xbox One, PS4 or PC player will matter not either as it’ll become available simultaneously across all formats. If you’re not a Season Pass holder then you’ll need to sit tight and pick it up as an individual purchase from the 6th June 2017.

The Fallen Ghosts campaign will bring you no less than 15 new missions in which you’ll need to take down four new bosses located in three different regions. Starting with a new character at level 30 and equipped with all of the main game skills, the Fallen Ghosts expansion will see the level cap increase from 30 to 35, whilst nine new skills, including physical, weapon and drones skills, will become unlockable. It will also feature six exclusive new weapons, with new assault rifles, sniper gear and crossbows all ready to be taken into action.

Fallen Ghosts will take place after the fall of the Santa Blanca Cartel. With the country in a state of civil war, Unidad enlists cartel members, veterans and mercenaries from nearby countries to act as volunteers. Together, they form a new brutal special unit, Los Extranjeros, which is ordered to track and eliminate all American agents.

It is in this chaotic situation that the Ghosts have one last mission – to evacuate the last CIA members and American civilians remaining in the country. Shot down enroute to their mission, the Ghosts find themselves in the middle of the jungle, without external support, facing deadly enemies equipped with the latest gear and technology.

These dangerous elite soldiers are separated into four distinct classes:

  • Armoured: Equipped with heavy bulletproof plates, they are especially threatening in close combat.
  • Elite Sniper: Geared up with an advanced movement detector, these Elite Snipers are able to spot far away targets, and never miss their shot.
  • Jammer: With a jamming antenna directly in their backpack, they are able to neutralise drones and interfere with all electronic equipment.
  • Covert Ops: Equipped with a new prototype cloaking device, that makes them almost invisible, and a powerful crossbow, they give a new meaning to the word “Ghost.”

If you think all that sounds good and are a veteran to the game, then you may be pleased to hear that both the advanced and expert difficulties have been tweaked to bring an even tougher challenge. Get that HUD turned off and you’ll be able to experience the most extreme and tactical experience possible in Ghost Recon Wildlands.

We will of course remind you when Fallen Ghosts arrives – both for those Season Pass holders and an individual purchasable option.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
