While the Forza series has always been about realism, the development teams at Playground Games and Turn10 have been allowed to put their own fun stamp on things. We’ve seen Hot Wheels additions to both the standard Motorsport and its Horizon cousin, with the latter embracing all kinds of madness with the launch of the likes of Fortune Island, Blizzard Mountain and more. Now though that old Forza formula is being ripped up and thrown in the bin, with a huge dose of LEGO humour being injected in, with the arrival of Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions.
Shown off at Microsoft’s Xbox at E3 2019 conference, Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions is now with us and available for purchase and download for a price of £15.99.
Running as the second major expansion to FH4 behind Fortune Island, if you are after fun, then this certainly looks to deliver in spades as the usual Forza visuals give way to a wonderful LEGO valley which you can race around and fully explore. Complete with a garage full of LEGO Speed Champions cars like the McLaren Senna, the Mini Cooper S Rally from back in 1967 and the stunning Ferrari F40 Competizione, the chance to create a Master Builder’s House and a Brick Collection to amass, there is no chance that anyone who loved Forza Horizon 4, and has a passion for LEGO, will not be utterly enthralled by this addition.
Throw in 31 new Achievements that allow for 500 more Gamerscore, hidden Bonus Cubes to hunt down and loads of fun brought about by the introduction of new LEGO Brick Challenges, and the addition of the LEGO Speed Champions expansion to FH4 is a bit of a no-brainer.
You will of course obviously need to have the base Forza Horizon 4 game to hand, but from there on out the LEGO fun just won’t stop with a trip to the Xbox Store providing full access. Better still is the fact that those owners of Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition or the Expansions Bundle will find this LEGO content automagically added in, while the opportunity to play this on PC thanks to the magic of Xbox Play Anywhere, seals the deal.
