Free Xbox Games With Gold titles for May 2016 revealed!

games with gold new

April was a stunning month to be an Xbox gamer. Not only did we see the release of some huge titles, but the Xbox Games With Gold scheme delivered what was without doubt its very best month. But May is now here and that means it’s time for a few new games to be given away to all Xbox One and Xbox 360 Gold subscribers. What are they? Well…

May is however struggling to get us excited as the following have now been confirmed as this month’s free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games:

  • Xbox One – Defense Grid 2 – May 1st-31st
  • Xbox One – Costume Quest 2 – May 16th-June 15th
  • Xbox 360 – Grid 2 – May 1st-15th
  • Xbox 360 – Peggle – May 16th-31st

Obviously you’ll need to be the proud holder of a current Xbox Live Gold subscription, but if you are one of the clever ones, then we’d be interested to hear what you think. Does this month’s Xbox Games With Gold scheme deliver the goods? Let us know in the comments below.

Of course, all this means that if you haven’t yet started your downloads for the stunning Sunset Overdrive, The Wolf Among Us or Saints Row IV, then time is running out. We advise you to grab them asap!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.

Really enjoyed Defence Grid 1 and 2 and I hear costume quest is funny, however at least 1 premium title may have been nice at one point I had like 5 Peggle codes, which came with a variety of different games/pre-orders, really didn’t need this one.

In their own right, each of the games included is fairly decent. But agree with your Peggle thoughts and it’s a strange one to see included. Doesn’t EVERYONE have Peggle in some form?
