We may be in a bit of a gaming lull, what with Christmas and New Year at the forefront of most minds, but that doesn’t mean the gaming industry is totally sleeping. Nope, and with the Xbox Games With Gold scheme preparing itself for a fantastic 2022, it’s the free Xbox games that will be delivered throughout January 2022 that are of interest.
December 2021 was a fairly decent month for freebies, with the Games With Gold titles consisting of the likes of The Escapists 2, Tropico 5 and more. But with January, we see four more titles totally stripped of their price tags, ready for free download by all Xbox gamers who have an Xbox Live Gold subscription to hand.
Those games are a tasty little lot too, with all of the following going free throughout January 2022’s Games With Gold programme.
- NeuroVoider – 1st-31st January 2022
- Aground – 16th January – 15th February 2022
- Radiant Silvergun – 1st-15th January 2022
- Space Invaders Infinity Gene – 16th-31st January 2022
If you’re wanting to fill your digital library with some new titles, picking up the free Xbox Games With Gold games is a no-brainer. Whether it’s Aground or Space Invaders which is most interesting to you matters little – for free you should be grabbing each and every one of these games the second the free love is shown.
You’ll find the first two Games With Gold freebies rolling out to the Xbox Store without a price attached very soon. It’ll then be mid-Jan when the next couple arrive. Keep an eye on our pages, our social channels and the like, for we’ll be sure to remind you when those prices are stripped.
As always, as a new set of freebies gets set to roll into place, it does mean that those games which have come before will soon be going back up in price. If you haven’t yet downloaded The Escapists 2, you’ve got mere days to do so. Similarly with Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Should you not have taken the free download of Tropico 5, you’ve got a little longer – at least until mid-Jan.
