Even though the first game is only just gearing up for launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, eastasiasoft are looking to the future; a future filled by sequels – Habroxia 2 no less.
Announced for release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS Vita, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in February 2021, Habroxia 2 is the follow-up to the 2019 release of the original Habroxia – a game that is only just making launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on December 2nd. Yeah we know, we’re a year late to the party, but at least us Xbox gamers are now getting the chance.
Working as a non-linear, old-school space shooter with upgrades, boss fights, and even a New Game+ mode, Habroxia 2 will come all wrapped in a retro package that promises pixel graphics, chiptunes and stellar gameplay. It should also be found delivering a revamped twin-stick control scheme, stages that can branch off in various directions, customizable ship upgrades and challenging boss battles.
We’ll see eastasiasoft publishing Habroxia 2 on PS4/Vita in Asia/Japan as digital & physical editions, whilst they’ll also be behind the porting & worldwide digital publishing of the game on Xbox One (and therefore Xbox Series X|S), on Nintendo Switch, and on Steam. You’ll be looking at a price point of US$9.99 / €9.99 / Â¥1000 when Habroxia 2 launches on February 3rd 2021.
About Habroxia 2:
In the aftermath of a brutal attack on Free Space, humanity sends scout ships to the star system that was at the source of the assault. But when one of the pilots doesn’t return home, it’s up to his daughter — the talented starpilot Sabrina — to find him.
Need more? The trailer will cover those bases but if you’re in the market for a sequel to a modern day classic, Habroxia and Habroxia 2 should have you sorted. Let us know what you think though. The comments section is down below.
