Halo Wars: Definitive Edition now available for purchase on Xbox One

Latest Reviews

The original game may have first arrived a good few years ago, but the Definitive Edition of Halo Wars has so far only been available to those who managed to grab Halo Wars 2. But that was then, and this is now, for Halo Wars Definitive Edition is now available as a standalone purchase.

Supporting Xbox Play Anywhere, Halo Wars Definitive Edition will be playable on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC for no extra cost. Priced at just ÂŁ15.99, if you’ve been holding out in the hope that the improved visuals, new cheevos and all the DLC that we came to know and love with the original game was going to come up for purchase, then well, that wait has paid off.

Dropping you on to the battlefield made famous by the Halo universe, Wars: Definitive Edition lets you control huge armies, all before sending them off into the action and destruction of space warfare. With a campaign in place for you to sort out your skills, and then the chance to head online and partake in a number of multiplayer battles, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition delivers.

Make sure you head on over to the Xbox Games Store right now in order to pick it up. We strongly advise you to check out our full review too.

Game Description:

Supports Xbox Play Anywhere: yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost. Control large Halo armies and direct them in action-packed warfare.   Halo Wars: Definitive Edition includes improved graphics, new achievements and all the DLC from the landmark game. Re-live the epic campaign or compete in online multiplayer battles with armies of powerful Halo forces at your command.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
