You know what the start of a new month means don’t you? Yep, that’s right, new free games being given away via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme. Fancy getting hold or a brilliant arcade racer for nothing?

Well that’s exactly what you can do right now as Split/Second has been stripped of its usual price tag in order to be given away for nothing to all Xbox Live Gold members for the next couple of weeks. That means should you have a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription, then you’ve got until the 15th February 2018 in order to hit the purchase button and grab your free download.

But what is Split/Second? Well, it’s an arcade racer in which the track is constantly changing. Explosions and destruction are both pretty much par for the course as you attempt to race against other competitors in a battle to cross the line first.
