It could be said that the Hitman stock has never been higher. After a wonderful episodic adventure through 2016’s Hitman, and then the recent journey of 47 delivered through Hitman 2, the suited one has found a whole army of fans the world over. Seems like a great time to drop in with some of the older games in an enhanced edition then, doesn’t it?
The Hitman HD Enhanced Collection has today been announced by Warner Bros for release on Xbox One and PS4 come January 11th 2019. This collection brings together Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution remastered in 4K for the very first time.
This will see both games available to be played in 4K resolution and 60 fps, with many other improvements ensuring that the two classic titles burst into 2019 with the attention and love that they deserve; increased texture resolution, upgraded texture formats, super-sampling, upscale support, heightened shadow map and mirror resolutions, improved lighting and updated controls for a more fluid experience, will all be in place.
For those not in the know, Hitman: Blood Money will see you experiencing a globe-trotting adventure from the vineyards of Chile, to the Paris Opera House and over to the White House in a face-off against a group of assassins known as “The Franchise.”. Absolution meanwhile will see us rediscovering the deep and personal story of Agent 47 as he pursues redemption across 20 intense missions. With an impressive Hollywood cast in tow, and a distinctive art style, expect to see Hitman: Absolution combining rich dialogue and first class performances.
“We’re very happy with this collection and how we were able to update and remaster two of our classic Hitman titles for modern consoles,” said Hakan Abrak, CEO, IO Interactive. “Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution have helped us on our journey to where we are today, and we’re looking forward to players enjoying them in 4K and 60 fps.”
