Just announced is an awesome new competition from Mattel and Milestone games in their surprisingly good arcade racer Hot Wheels Unleashed. The Hot Wheels Unleashed Design Battle is a chance for you, yes you, to create your own real-life Hot Wheels car.
Starting today 14th January and lasting a month until 14th February, players can use the in-game Livery Editor and have their designs made into a real-life Hot Wheels toy car! It will be in stores globally in time for Christmas 2022. If you win, hopefully you get sent a physical representation but if not, you know what to ask Santa for!
The iconic Rodger Dodger will be your canvas as players attempt to create the best looking livery that they can. Here are the names of the people that you will need to impress though:
- Ted Wu – Vice President and Global Head of Vehicle Design, Mattel
- Bryan Benedict – Director of Product Design, Mattel
- Dmitriy Shakhmatov – Manager of Product Design, Mattel
- Jerry Thienprasiddhi – Principal Graphic Designer, Mattel

For over five decades, Hot Wheels has celebrated the designers and builders of their humble die-cast model cars. Now, players of their digital offering Hot Wheels Unleashed can join this esteemed franchise and leave their place in the Hot Wheels annals of time.
