The master swordsman, Hwang, has arrived as the final DLC character for the weapon-heavy fighting game SOULCALIBUR VI on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Not only will we be able to get to grips with a rejuvenated Hwang, but also the last Character Creation Set, which is full of awesome customisation items.
As the eight and last planned playable DLC character, the impeccable Korean swordsman Hwang brings a dose of nostalgia to SOULCALIBUR VI. You see, you may know him from the original Soul Edge, or his most recent appearance in 2005’s SOULCALIBUR III. Whether you recognise Hwang, or not, is debatable as he’s received a makeover and seems a much darker presence nowadays; especially given the new lifeforce techniques he possesses. Nevertheless, prepare to take control of a fast, agile, and precise fighter, who defeats his enemies in style with combos of kicks and swirling sword attacks.
There’s also a fresh batch of customisation items available right now in the form of Character Creation Set F. It brings 45 different options in total, including 13 crossover items from Tekken that you’d associate with Paul Phoenix, King, Ling Xiaoyu, and more. Additionally, you can expect a whole bunch of returning items that will be familiar to those who have delved into SOULCALIBUR: Lost Swords.
Both pieces of DLC are included in Season Pass 2 for £26.99, alongside three other characters and Character Creation Sets. Alternatively, you could pick them up separately from the digital store of your choosing, with Hwang costing £4.99 and Character Creation Set F priced at £3.29.
