Game of the Year lists are currently at the fore of many a gamer’s mind. And one game that should well be considered for a place on those 2023 lists is Dead Island 2. It may have taken an age to finally release, but when it did… Can the introduction of Dead Island 2 Haus move it into all-new territories?
Available today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is Dead Island 2 Haus; the first story expansion for the game. It’s also on PlayStation and PC if you so wish prefer.
A new Dead Island 2 Haus?
Dead Island 2 Haus builds on the already great base game to provide players with the opportunity to enjoy a whole new story. It focuses on a billionaire’s secrets techno-death cult fights whilst the Zompocalypse tries to take hold. So far, so Dead Island 2.
Haus is a paragon of a new future, as prophesied by their enigmatic leader Konstantin. This means players will battle through Haus with new weapons and cards, as they face legions of zombies intent on their slaughter. And that’ll take you to a completely new location.
Haus is set in a mysterious and stylish villa in Malibu where the boundaries of morality are pushed to the limit. It is this nightmarish location which serves as both a sanctuary and a machine to strip away flesh and harvest the soul. Expect to find yourself left to weave through the deranged labyrinth of biomes where rational architecture is subverted by expanding narrative spaces.

With the base game in tow, you’ll be able to pick up the Haus expansion from the usual digital stores for £9.99. For Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players, it’s the Xbox Store that should be visited. Equally, PlayStation and PC stores will also be forthcoming.Â
