LEGO DC Super-Villains to get hit with a wave of Aquaman Movie DLC

Surprised to see the inclusion of some upcoming Aquaman content in LEGO DC Super-Villains? Nope, we aren’t either!

Revealed today by Warner Bros is the addition of some Aquaman Movie content to the fantastic LEGO DC Super-Villains, allowing players the chance to embark on more daring missions – this time in the Underwater Kingdom of Atlantis as they try to prevent the seven kingdoms from uniting against the surface world.

Coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, this content will come in two parts, both of which will have been inspired by the much-anticipated Warner Bros. Pictures film, Aquaman, which will be hitting big screens on 21st December.

That means that should you be a Season Pass holder for LEGO DC Super-Villains, then you’ll find Aquaman Movie Part 1 available on 4th December and Aquaman Movie Part 2 dropping on 8th January 2019. This Season Pass adds in six level and four character packs, and can be found included in the LEGO DC Super-Villains Deluxe Edition or purchased separately for ÂŁ11.99.

For those without the Season Pass, then the Aquaman movie packs can be grabbed together in a bundle for ÂŁ4.99 on 8th January 2019.

But what do they bring? Well, action-packed is the word and these Aquaman movie packs offer players the chance to control DC’s legendary pair, Aquaman and Mera, in the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. It’s up to them to lead their people against Aquaman’s brother, Orm, who seeks to unite the seven kingdoms against the surface world.

That will see these packs expand the main game’s roster of over 150 iconic DC characters, adding new playable characters Aquaman (Gladiator), Black Manta (Movie), Mera, Orm (Gladiator), King Nereus and Queen Atlanna. The second pack adds new playable characters Aquaman (Movie), Vulko, Trench Creature, Murk, Brine King and Orm (Movie).

If you wish to know more about LEGO DC Super-Villains as a standalone game then you could do a whole ton worse than check out our review of it on Xbox One. Basically put though, if you like LEGO, like DC, or even like Super-Villains, you’ll love it!

Will you be picking up the Aquaman DLC to go with the standard game? Let us know your thoughts.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
