Lost Words: Beyond the Page to hit Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2019

You may have heard of Lost Words previously, in fact, you may even have had the chance to go hands-on with it, but whether you have or not matters little for all you really need to know is that Modus Games have teamed up with Sketchbook Games to ensure that Lost Words will be coming in 2019.

Created by Sketchbook, the award winning puzzler will be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2019, with Modus handling the publishing rights.

Lost Words is set in the pages of a young girl’s diary, featuring a soul-searching story that has been created by acclaimed video game writer Rhianna Pratchett. In it, you will get to traverse across written words, manipulating them to solve puzzles in order to unlock the fantasy world of Estoria, where words are even more powerful.

Expect to find a touching story, as you get invited to directly engage with the thoughts and feelings of the diary’s owner. And it promises to be something a bit special too, with no less than 14 awards under its belt, including an Indie Prize at Casual Connect 2018, UKIE’s UK Game of the Show at Gamescom 2017, and ‘Best Story’ and ‘Best Indie Game’ at Game Connection 2016.

“We are honored to be publishing this very special game,” said Christina Seelye, CEO of Modus Games. “Lost Words is a one-of-a-kind experience that breaks traditional puzzle game molds.”

“The team at Modus Games is giving Lost Words: Beyond the Page the care it deserves,” said Mark Backler, founder of Sketchbook Games. “They have been excellent to work with, understand our passion for the game, and have been really supportive in helping us make the best game we can. We can’t wait to get it out there to the world!”

We’ll be sure to bring you more regarding Lost Words: Beyond the Page as and when we have it.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
