metro last light

You’ve no doubt been spending the last couple of weeks happily playing Metro 2033 thanks to the Xbox Games With Gold scheme, well, how about you stick a free copy of Metro: Last Light in to keep it company?

Available to download now for free is Metro: Last Light. You’ll need to be the proud holder of an Xbox Live Gold subscription but as long as you are, the Xbox Games With Gold scheme has got you sorted with a game that has been stripped of its price tag. You’ve got until the end of August to grab Metro: Last Light on Xbox 360, after which it’ll be sent back up in price.

…which is obviously what has now happened to the previous bearer of the Games With Gold freeness, Metro 2033.

Remember though, it’s now all about the year 2034, with the Xbox Games Store holding the key to your free download.

Game Description:

It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the military vaults of D6 – a gigantic bunker complex rumored to contain food, medicine, weapons… and maybe more. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever. As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…

Xbox One owners currently have free access to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and How To Survive: Storm Warning Edition. Don’t forget to download them!
