The arrival of the holiday season sees the ushering in of the humble board game – bot not any old board game, Monopoly. But if you’re one of the many who need a new twist on that old classic, Monopoly Madness is sure to appeal.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia and PC through the Ubisoft Store, Monopoly Madness takes the tried and tested glory of Monopoly and mixes it up a little, as Ubisoft reinvent the game that has brought together families for many a year.
It’s priced at £24.99 and will allow fans of Monopoly to discover something fresh about the franchise as it ditches the usual board and lets you roam the streets of Monopoly City – all in order to discover your riches.
Monopoly Madness comes with no less than 20 playable characters in play, with these inspired by the Monopoly tokens that we have grown up with. Throw in 4 unique environments, the chance for up to 6 people to play either via online services or through local play, and a whole ton of power-ups popping up out of the Community Chest and it’s easy to understand how this is a very different beast to the usual Monopoly scene.
The standard goals remain though – collect, buy, upgrade and make a ton of cash.
