Mrs.Cat Between Worlds is a cute but deadly console platformer

You may think that Mrs.Cat Between Worlds sounds like a cute and cuddly little gaming experience, one that will have you purring with joy as you travel worlds. But in reality it’s a deadly platformer full of danger, ready to rip its claws into you. 

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (fully optimised for new-gen consoles), PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Mrs.Cat Between Worlds is the latest to drop from the Ratalaika Games team (recently behind Headbangers in Holiday Hell), as they take what has been created by the development studio at EVEV01, thrusting it out to the world. 

As to be expected with a Ratalaika Games game, this is a cheap purchase, running a mere £4.99 in price tag – with that discounted early doors for anyone wishing to jump in. Splash the cash and you should probably expect a host of easy Xbox Achievements and Gamerscore coming your way too. 

So what is Mrs.Cat Between Worlds? Well, it’s a 2D precision platformer in which you are left to master the art of jumping. The thing is, the various worlds which make up Mrs.Cat Between Worlds all come with different amounts of gravity and so honing those skills won’t be as easy as you should expect. 

With shiny energy gems to grab, traps to dodge, fifty levels of madness and a variety of mechanics running into play, for the low asking price, it feels like Mrs.Cat Between Worlds could be a no-brainer.
