2026's Best Games

ghostrunner neon pack

Ghostrunner has continually evolved since launch at the back end of 2020, with 505 Games and All In! Games throwing out both paid and free DLC a good few times. That’s exactly what is happening again today as two new free game modes plus a rather snazzy cosmetic Neon Pack hit the game.

Available right now to add into Ghostrunner on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with them both hitting the next-gen versions on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 once the game gets optimised on September 28th, if you have access to the base game, you’ll want to get involved here. The Neon Pack will also arrive on Switch in the coming weeks.

First up are the free game modes and these add to Ghostrunner’s super stylish cyberpunk action as you get the chance to go up against wave upon wave of brutal one-hit kill enemies in the new roguelike inspired Wave Mode. This will throw you into an unpredictable gauntlet against the ferocious foes of Dharma Tower. It’s procedurally generated enemy types and formations, hero upgrades between rounds, and more will turn Wave Mode into a new game within the game. And if you can survive 20 rounds, you’ll unlock an exclusive sword.

Further and those who want to witness Ghostrunner’s story and enjoy the cyberpunk sights of Dharma Tower without fear of instant death will love Assist Mode. It’s here where you’ll dial back the intensity for a more accessible revenge story with three toggleable options: shorter cooldowns for more frequent ability use, slower gameplay to help with reaction times, and an extra life.

You’ll find both those modes available for free, but if you wish to open the wallet, it’s the new Neon pack which will delight. Priced at £3.99, or available in Jack’s Bundle which adds in the Metal Ox pack and Winter Pack too for £5.99, the Neon Pack will offer you four sets of gloves and katanas: Neon Night, Afterglow, Luminescence, and Glint. Each drips with the vibrant colors reminiscent of cyberpunk and synthwave and should enhance your base game considerably.

Just pop over to the Xbox Store to grab either of those packs on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. You’ll also find them on PlayStation, PC and, soon, on Switch.

DLC Description:

Increase your cosmetic inventory even further with the Neon Pack. The following items included in this pack: • The Afterglow Sword and Glove Set • The Luminescence Sword and Glove Set • The Glint Sword and Glove Set • The Neon Night Sword and Glove Set

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
