If you thought you had just about exhausted everything that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands had to throw at you then you’d be wrong – for Ghost War, the PvP mode will be coming soon. But before that, we get to mess around with its goodies in an open beta.
Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC and taking place between the 21st-24th September 2017, Ghost War for Ghost Recon Wildlands will see two groups of players taking part in a four-versus-four team deathmatch experience that builds on the tactical squad play from the main game, where strategy is equally as important as skill. You’ll be able to pre-load the beta from the 19th Sept whilst the full mode will release later on this autumn to owners of the full game.
In Ghost War teams will choose from a roster of varied classes across three categories – Assault, Marksman and Support – that fill specific roles on the battlefield as they navigate large-scale open maps and take down their enemies. The open beta will see you going hands on with six of the twelve distinct classes, each with their own varied characteristics, weapons, perks and customisation options, and five of the eight unique maps.
Ghost War also comes with new PvP mechanics, including suppressing fire and sound markers, to create a true military-strategic, team-based multiplayer mode.
Before the beta arrives though, we’ve got a couple of videos to watch, both of which are shown below. Take them in, then prepare yourself for the fight in Ghost War!
