Ubisoft promised major updates for Rainbow Six: Siege and that is exactly what we are getting as the Operation Black Ice update arrives for free.
The first of four major content updates, Operation Black Ice brings in new Canadian special operations JTF 2 force operators (Frost and Buck), a new map and new weapon skins. Available now as a free download on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, the update also sees the Spectator Camera feature go live on all platforms in custom games.
Whilst the new maps and modes will be available to everyone immediately, if you fancy getting involved with the new operators or skins, then you ‘ll have to get spending your R6 credits. That said, Season Pass holders will instantly get hold of the new JTF 2 operators, but non-Season Pass owners will be able to unlock them using Renown in-game currency or R6 Credits starting on February 9th.
You can pick up Rainbow Six: Siege right now on Xbox one, PS4 and PC. Still not purchased the game yet? Let our review tempt you in.
