Will you investigate the secrets of Re.Surs

Previously on Steam, Re.Surs is a futuristic story-driven, side-scrolling shooter. And now it’s on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

Re.Surs resurges

Available right now, Re.Surs launches on Xbox, playable across both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. You should also be finding it on PlayStation and Switch, as well as Steam where it’s been sat for a couple of years. And whilst those PC reviews are positive, they are fairly small in number.

VidyGames and Samustai will therefore hope that the move to console give Re.Sur the kick it needs. Opening it up to a whole new range of player is sure to help push and promote. And honestly, the premise seems to be one that many will want to get behind.

Priced at £6.69, in RE.Sur you find yourself playing as a paranormal detective, Jessie Sullivan. An employee of the Re.Surs Anomaly Enforcement Administration, you get a call from your superiors to notify of an incident in town; an incident that has stopped the processing of the finest energy source in the land. It’s up to you to investigate. Isn’t it ever!

Variety to the gameplay

Playing out as a side-scrolling shooter, it won’t just be the narrative of Re.Surs that drags you in. The gameplay looks to excite as you go searching for answers, hoping to find them. With varous unique heroes to play out, you won’d be confined to Jessie either…

  • Detective Jessie has the skills to dash quickly, which allows her to take better positions, and her ultimate ability allows you to destroy multiple enemies at the same time!
  • Basil B has control abilities: enemies have no chance to get close to him, and the ultimate ability allows you to apply this effect massively!
  • Helga Hoft can move easily vertically and is also assisted by a hand-held drone turret in battle, making her the most valuable hero in battles against large hordes of enemies!

Up for a new paranormal take? Re.Surs can be downloaded from the Xbox Store right now. You can then play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Expect to find Re.Surs on PlayStation, Switch and PC too. Let us know in the comments if you decide to pick it up.

Re.Surs on Xbox Game Description

Jessie Sullivan – a paranormal detective who worked for Re.Surs Anomaly Enforcement Administration (RAEA) in Modern-City. On a cold evening, Detective Sullivan receives a message from the Superintendent, a longtime colleague. The message says that there has been a terrifying incident that occurred in Social District of Modern-City. This incident disrupted the work of a vital processing building of the Re.Surs (the perfect source of energy). This peculiar event will entail the discovery of an extremely dangerous criminal who wants to encroach, in the truest sense of the word, the precarious peace in Modern-City and throughout the Continent.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
