The doors to the Rollerdrome open on Game Pass and Xbox

The Rollerdrome – a place that blends skating with shooting, as players look to become one with their wheels, dropping opponents as they go. The question is: will you be taking to the Rollerdrome on Game Pass and Xbox?

Rollerdrome from Private Division and Roll7 has been found rolling around on digital stores of PlayStation and PC for a little while already. Now though it’s time to bring it to Xbox. And it’s debuting as a Day One drop on Game Pass as it goes. When you consider that this merges high octane combat with the most fluid of motions, and that Roll7 were previously behind the superb OlliOlli series, we’re not sure there’a a reason to ignore it.

Rollerdrome – now on Xbox and Game Pass

Throw in the ‘Very Positive’ reviews that have been picked up on Steam, and a 79 Metascore on Metacritic and the interest levels build even more.

Whisking us off to the year 2030, Rollerdrome focuses on the most brutal of new sports. It’s here where violence and skill merge as you look to pull off grinds and run tricks. All before then blasting the living hell out of the opposition. Your goal? To become the champion Rollerdrome athlete – however you can.

A real test of skill that comes to the fore in third person action shooting mechanics, in Rollerdrome you’ll find the most unique of challenges and tests. You’ll also find an absolutely stunning artstyle; there’s no doubt that this is a game that really captures the eye.

Features

But it’s in the features that the Rollerdrome action is best summed up…

  • A third person action shooter like no other – an original hybrid shooter-skater that blends high octane, visceral combat with fluid movement and tricking mechanics into one complementary and challenging whole.
  • A test of skill – Take on a unique challenge throughout the Rollerdrome tournament. Establish your dominance in the field with online leaderboards and push yourself to the limit with the unlockable “”Out For Blood”” mode for the most extreme test of skill and agility.
  • An original identity – An all-new fully original soundtrack that merges iconic era sounds and tones with cutting edge production to provide a heart-thumping backdrop to the carnage, brought to life with a unique comic-book inspired art style.
  • A dark conspiracy – Discover a mysterious, sinister plot in this distinct retrofuture universe.

Buy, or play through Game Pass

Rollerdrome is on the Xbox Store. You can go paying the usual asking price of £24.99 if you must. But we think you’d be best off making the most of that Xbox Game Pass subscription you hold. Just be aware that this is an Xbox Series X|S limited game. You can’t play on Xbox One. That said, there’s Xbox Play Anywhere support if that’s your bag.

You’ll also find the game on the PlayStation Store and on Steam.

Let us know if you pick this one up by dropping into the comments. And keep an eye out for our review soon.
