Have you ever wanted to just take it easy in the role of being a hero, instead of needing to slay all manner of beasts? Well, Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is here on Xbox One and it lets you help an island in despair by contributing your skills of cooking, farming, and more. Interested?
Set in the open-world and vibrant island of Gemea, the aim in Yonder is to seek out some whimsical creatures known as Sprites in order to clear a mysterious Murk that has enshrouded the land. To do this, you’ll need plenty of resources and these can be obtained by building up relationships with locals, fulfilling quests for them. Activities include brewing, crafting, cooking, fishing and farming, but you can partake in such actions at your own pace, ensuring you take in everything that Gemea has to offer.
And by exploring the land you’ll discover there are eight distinct environments within, ranging from sunny and tropical beaches to snow-capped summits. It is then that you’ll become familiar with the art of bartering, find unique materials to craft with, befriend the adorable wildlife and even take them home with you.
