Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 biohazard getting Xbox Series X|S and PS5 upgrades

Whether you prefer the original, like Resident Evil 2, adore Resident Evil 5 or can’t get enough of Resident Evil Village, it’s safe to say that the more Resident Evil there is in this world, the better. So the fact that some of the finest games in the franchise – Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 – are getting proper next-gen upgrades on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, is something to be excited by.

Coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 later in 2022 will be three of the most acclaimed of all the Resident Evil games, complete with some of the most cutting edge tech currently available in the industry.

Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 biohazard will hit Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 later this year, with all three titles touting cutting-edge features including ray tracing, high frame rate and 3D audio to enhance the immersion of the award-winning experiences. Further, for PlayStation 5 players, all three titles also feature engaging DualSenseâ„¢ support for Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.

Arriving as a free upgrade to the current Xbox One and PS4 versions of the games, the next-gen goodies will hit RE2, RE3 and RE7 via the likes of Xbox’s Smart Delivery system. This will mean that fans will be able to re-experience the spine-chilling horrors and incredible visuals of these fan-favorite titles on the latest generation of consoles.

Don’t think you’re getting left out if you’re a PC players either – an upgrade patch will also be available for PC users at no additional cost.
