It seems that if you are a mascot, you must also have a kart racer. And that is the case here today with Garfield Kart Furious Racing on Xbox One.
Garfield Kart Furious Racing is actually the second karting game for Garfield and his chums, with Furious Racing being a sequel to the 2013 Garfield Kart. This one however, is a bit more recent, and best of is available now on Xbox One. You may also well find it on PlayStation 4, Steam and Nintendo Switch.
Garfield Kart Furious Racing features Garfield and seven of his friends, including Jon, Odie, Arlene and Harry. They will race across 16 locations all inspired by the Garfield universe including Palerock Lake and the Pastacosi Factory. Karts and characters can be heavily customised with dozens of accessories. Each character has a unique driving style that allows you to pick the best driver to match your playstyle.
On the track, fast starts and power slides are essential for victory. And if that doesn’t work – or you are as legendarily lazy as Garfield himself – then there are shortcuts to take advantage of.
Pick ups on the track include pillows and magic wands to give you the edge over your competitors. Expect to see a lasagne or two as well!
There is local and online racing in place, with up to eight people online and four-player splitscreen. Furious Racing also features the standard modes you would expect for a racer: Grand Prix, Single Race and Time Trial.
Garfield Kart Furious Racing is ready to download now priced at £24.99 and offers yet another kart racing variant, in a genre that has received a serious boost this year.
