There have been a variety of decent poker games rock up onto the gaming landscape over recent years, but should you decide to join the Poker Club, Ripstone Games are promising that it’ll be the most immersive, most realistic and – most importantly – the most social poker simulation yet. And the best thing of all? It’s coming to both current and next-gen consoles.

Announced today for launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC, with a planned release in 2020, Poker Club from Ripstone Games – they previously behind Pure Hold’em – will deliver poker players with the game they have been calling out for.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4 and making the most of everyone’s best mate ray tracing, Poker Club should wll be the most realistic, immersive, social poker title yet. It’s been designed with the move to the online world in mind, and this means that it’ll cater for poker players across the globe, throwing them into tournaments that could well be 200 players strong. From there, taking down the opposition, joining a specific club, taking home daily chop bonuses and working towards shared goals will be par for the course.

There will be rewards too – plenty of rewards. This will be unlockable and will deliver not just customisable gear, but also events that are club-specific. And those clubs should be plentiful too – especiall as Poker Club will offer both cross-platform and cross-generational play, letting those on the whole range of Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms to go card fishing together.

As you would expect to hear, there are a multitude of options available too – basically, if you love Texas Hold’em, then Poker Club is going to have you covered with a range of tournaments and ring games. You’ll be invited to join the PCC Poker Tour which comprises the career, going from back-room affairs right up to the biggest money events, and you’ll also be able to partake in single and multi-table tournaments, Freezeouts, Shootouts, Turbos, Super Turbos, Bounties and more. With the opportunity to run private games, or open things up to the world, Poker Club promises the full on jackpot.

“Poker Club is going to be the ultimate poker experience when it launches this year. Not only will it fully leverage the power of next-gen PC and console technology, but more importantly it will offer players a highly immersive social experience,” said Phil Gaskell of Ripstone Games. “We’ve included everything we’ve ever wanted to see in a poker game, so that players can enjoy the fantasy of living the life of a poker pro, touring the incredible locations you might see in TV and films. The in-game Clubs and huge range of events combine to create a refreshing new poker experience, bringing players from around the world together and offering more ways to play than ever before on PC and console.”

Built from the ground up – yeah, yeah, we know – Poker Club should well be the most intense poker experience available on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. But not only will it come with a host of gameplay opportunities but it’ll look great too, with meticulously detailed arenas to play in and plenty of player customisation to enjoy. And with the upcoming launch of Xbox Series X and PS5, we’ll see Poker Club run 4K visuals at 60fps, utilising advanced rendering techniques including ray tacing.

So, will we see you heading to the Poker Club table when Ripstone Games drop their latest piece of magic to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC? For now sit back and take in the trailer, and then let us know your thoughts in the comments.
