Rocket League and Ferrari team up to drop the 296 GTB in-game

Rocket League is a game that is ripe for brand crossover. We’ve had the Ghostbusters arrive on the scene, the Jurassic World team get ready for action and had the chance to get behind the wheel of one of the best looking supercars in the world in the McLaren 570S. Now it’s the turn of Ferrari to join the Rocket League roster.

Available from today in the Rocket League Item Shop, the Ferrari 296 GTB helps boost out the options on the table, giving the players who frequent the free-to-play RC car soccer game the chance to show their love for the brand.

The car itself is front and centre of the action with the Ferrari 296 GTB being a hybrid sports car, perfect for a place on the Rocket League pitch. But it’s the full Ferrari 296 GTB Bundle that should be of most interest, with it not just including the car, but the correct Engine Audio, the Wheels, the Assetto Fiorano Decal and the Ferrari Antenna.

You’ll find the Ferrari 296 GTB available for 2000 Credits from today until the 6th September, with a Ferrari Player Banner running free for all for the same time span.

If you’re a Rocket League player, then the introduction of the Ferrari 296 GTB is probably one that you’ll have massive interest in. With it free-to-play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (the Xbox Store link is here for you), PS4, PS5 and PC, there’s little reason to not get involved in what it has to offer. And if you haven’t played it, check out our full Rocket League review. It may be a game that has changed massively over the years – no more so with the F2P move – but the basic gameplay is as good as ever. It’s probably worth taking in our retrospective Looking Back piece too.

Surely the Prancing Horse is a big enough draw to have you taking to the pitch time and time again? Let us know in the comments below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
