Originally due to drop onto Xbox alongside that of PS4, PS5 and PC back at the beginning of June, Operation Tango had a last minute hitch which meant the Xbox version was delayed until further notice. The good news though is that delay is now over and us Xbox gamers get the chance to save the world by taking on the cooperative spy adventure on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Coming from the Clever Plays Studio team, Operation: Tango finally arrives on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with a £16.74 price tag in tow – but what it promises to deliver more than compensates for that pretty tempting price point.
A cooperative affair in which two players will need to work together in order to find success – think of the We Were Here series and similar lines are being drawn – as one takes on the role of Agent, and the other as Hacker, coming together to bring a hi-tech global menace down.
Voice commands and chat are an essential part of what makes Operation: Tango so intriguing as each player will come at the tasks in hand from different points of view. Explaining the situation as it unfolds will therefore be key, as both combine as one to overcome the obstacles put before them. And yes, due to the total cooperative requirements that are in place, Operation: Tango will do nothing if you are not teamed up with a friend or stranger, or if you don’t have a mic to hand.
What Clever Plays have created is something of a thrilling espionage tale, allowing gamers on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S the chance to play out the ultimate Hollywood styled spy fantasy. Utilising a whole host of tech will be an everyday occurrence and with a world built around augmented reality, you can expect those technical aspects to be high.
