Onigo Hunter is on PC and console

Onigo Hunter is a single-player, turn-based RPG where you embark on an ultimate quest to become the best hunter in the Kingdom and help restore the missing king to his throne.

Developed by KEMCO, Onigo Hunter is released onto Xbox consoles, including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows devices, Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Be a hero and take on an quest

Onigo Hunter takes place in the Kingdom of Wive where searchers, known as hunters search around ancient ruins to find artefacts that contribute to the development of the Kingdom.

However, one day while investigating the ruins, King Haron suddenly disappears and cannot be found by his soldiers. It is up to the King’s daughter, Lumiere, to submit a request to the Guild to see if their members can help find her father.

On meeting her and hearing her plight, the  main character of the story, a fledgling hunter called Fain, decides to set off on a quest to find the King. Fain and Lumiere head for the ruins and open a mysterious door, which leads to an adventure full of intrigue…

Capture monsters and use them in battles

Hunting monsters by setting traps and trying to capture as many different ones as you can is a large part of Onigo Hunter. Captured monsters can be combined in an Energy Alchemy Device, and fortified into items and equipment. The quality of the finished product varies, depending on the type and numbers of monsters used, so trying different combinations is the key to making your fighting strength as powerful as it can be.

Equipment can be obtained from shops, Creation Pots, or by fortifying. You can choose between various weapons and armour, each modifying your HP as well as your stats like strength, attack, speed and defence. Not only does it assist the character using it, but it also changes the way they appear. You can also customise weapons, to add applied effects and make attack strength more powerful.

Your ultimate aim is to become the best hunter in the Kingdom, which you can do by taking on requests at the Guild, and increasing your hunter rank as you complete them. As your rank goes up, you will be able to take on more and more difficult requests. You will take on turn-based battles with monsters, aided both by your equipment and the monsters you have captured. Monsters can be fired, changing allies’ elements and increasing your advantages in battle.
