the otterman empire xbox one

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Yes, the arrival of The Otterman Empire means there’s finally a chaotic multiplayer experience involving otters, jetpacks and water guns on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The Otterman Empire aims to provide a truly unique party shooter featuring a blend of campaign, collaboration and competition for one to four players locally – although online capabilities are expected in the future. Just select your otter, choose a jetpack, prepare your water gun, customize where possible and fly into the action. In the campaign, you can team up or go solo to stop the otterly evil Tiko from destroying the entire empire. Get ready to jet off across the galaxy and stop his deranged experiments from wreaking havoc in otterspace.

All in all there are eight dynamic local multiplayer modes including the fast-paced, Squiditch, the explosive Detonator and the sharp-shooting Target Practice. Due to the rapidly switching objectives and presence of multiple game modes, no two games should ever be the same. Throughout the frenzied goings on, you’ll be treated to eight lush and detailed planets such as the huge volcanic base station, Fishmonger Base, the technological playground, Ottopolis, and the beautiful overgrown temples of Lontra.

If you want to purchase The Otterman Empire, it’s available on the Xbox Store for £19.99 – with PlayStation and Nintendo gamers advised to visit their own digital stores. We’d also recommend a read of an exclusive interview with the developers behind it, Tri-Heart Interactive, in order to get more insight on the game. Let us know whether you end up buying it!
