It can only be described as the best month ever for Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers and now, as we hit the middle of April, the Xbox Games With Gold titles are changing. How do you like the sound of a free download of Sunset Overdrive?

Well, if you’re one of the smart guys and have a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription, then that is exactly what you can expect to find from the Xbox One Games Store. Sunset Overdrive, the blockbusting Xbox exclusive is now free to Xbox One owners – and it’ll remain free until the 15th May 2016. All you need to do is head on over to the Xbox One Games Store, show your Gold card at the door and get let in to the free party! It saves paying the usual £39.99 asking price.

Game Description:

Don’t miss the game that IGN awarded Best Xbox One Game of 2014, the game that Polygon rated 9 out of 10, and the game that Eurogamer calls “a breath of fresh air.” In Sunset Overdrive, the year is 2027 and Sunset City is under siege. A contaminated energy drink has transformed most of the population into toxic mutants. For many it’s the end of the world, but for you it’s a dream come true. Your old boss? Dead. Your boring job? Gone. Transform the open-world into your tactical playground by grinding, vaulting and wall-running across the city while using a devastating, unconventional arsenal. With hyper-agility, unique weapons, and customizable special abilities, Sunset Overdrive rewrites the rules of traditional shooters and delivers an explosive, irreverent, stylish, and totally unique adventure exclusively to Xbox One.

Of course, this means that if you didn’t bother downloading Lords of the Fallen (last months free game), then you’ve missed out on the opportunity. Oh well, we’re pretty sure Sunset City will have most then enough draw to keep you busy for a while yet!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
