Save Room Xbox

With the greatest of respect to Ratalaika Games, the games they port over to expect are rarely heard of beforehand. But their latest release has been quietly making waves over on Steam. Save Room is out today on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation.

Inspired by the inventory management systems of Resident Evil and survival horror games, Save Room is a puzzle game with a meta twist. Across 40 levels, players are tasked with fitting all their items within their inventory. These include guns, ammo, weapons, herbs and bizarrely, eggs.

Save Room also features:

  • Inventory management puzzle
  • Limited space for weapons and items
  • 40 different puzzles

It relies heavily on nostalgia for the older survival horror games, but Save Room is a puzzle game that all can enjoy. A suitably haunting soundtrack will remind players of their time spent cowering away in these safe rooms back in the day.

Yet it is a game suitable for all ages. You have my personal reassurance that there are no dogs jumping through windows, corpses reanimating or monsters with overly large tongues pouncing on you. After all, the Save Room is the only safe space in the classic survival horror games, and it remains a safe space here too.

And of course, it is a Ratalaika Games game so you can be certain of one other thing: easy achievements. Our review coming soon will have all these details and more.

Save Room is on the Xbox Store now priced at £4.99. Make a beeline for the Save Room and you can even get a discount, dropping the price to £3.99 for a limited time. It currently sits at an Overwhelmingly Positive review status on Steam, so hopes are high. Will you be picking this one up? Let us know in the comments below.
